1. Ginger

Ginger root has been prized for centuries for its medicinal properties. Ginger root can be eaten raw or cooked, though ginger has had a much longer history of medicinal use in cooking. Gingerroot tea is popular throughout Asia and traditionally used as a digestive aid in Europe. Recent studies demonstrate that gingerroot has numerous health benefits, from reducing nausea and motion sickness to treating pain and inflammation.

2. Gotu Kola

Gotu kola has been used since ancient times as a tonic and is still used today in traditional medicine across Africa.
