    Produces beautiful white flowers.  These white flowers have 5 petals. This is a small plant.  Seems to bloom all year round. This flower is used by the Sinhala community in their morning and evening worship of Lord Buddha.

    The reason for that is its whiteness.  In the villages where Sinhalese people live, they leave water in a pot in front of their houses and leave these white flowers in it in the morning. This shows that we wholeheartedly welcome those who come to that home.   In this way, they express their welcome and happiness and grow it in their home gardens. It is widely used in a variety of clinics
